Hi guys,
Has anyone had any success getting Soldier of Fortune 1 working in S3D? I'm using 94.24 forceware and stereo with a 7900 GTX and it crashes in game in stereo mode.

Thanks for the help.

regards,
photios

Do you have a dual Core CPU?? If so try disabling 1 core..

Yes I have a dual core i5 @ 4 GHz. I disabled one of the cores for this game using nhancer. Didn't matter seem to matter was the same result.

I tried this game with 91.31, 93.81, and 94.24. All the same result.

All my other [old school] games work great, just not this one.

I don't recall if sof1 worked or not. I think sof2 is great in 3d though. But a sequel is a sequel. :roll:

Yes SoF2 works great either using the Old School Nvidia method or using 3D vision w/ the GLDIRECT that converts Opengl to Directx 9. GLDIRECT won't work at all for id Tech 4 games though. It doesn't work well with SoF 1 either (Id Tech 2). It doesn't crash SoF1, but many of the textures are missing in game.

OK disabling the Core with NHancer is NOT going to do it. there is a Post here "How To Disable 1 Core" bost by neil follow that and retest the game.. check out this thread especially Likays Post down from the top a few post down he shows you how to edit the Boot.ini:

I tried that and it didn't work either same result as using one core in nhancer. I only have one game that I actually have to run with one core: Aliens vs Predator 2000 Classic.

Let me know when u get the game fired up to try it out.

OK I got it working in Stereo?? Perhaps you should try another driver ??

I use the 163.75 Drivers with the 162.50 Stereo Drivers and a Registry edit..

change the Following key in registry:

HKey_LOCAL_Machine\Software\nVidia Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies

In the registry I changed only

"ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001

So i can use both old and new control panel

Eh, I can't use that driver. I'm using a digital display it won't give me the option to choose anything other than anaglyph. I'm going DVI out on the graphics card into HDMI on the DLP TV. I'm not sure I could do a pin mod here though.

With some displays you need to do the "vga-pinmod" to enable all the options. It's probably first time nvidia experiemented with edid to shut out not supported solutions.
Changing from older drivers makes you benefit from multi-cpu-cores without crashes plus some general updates. In some cases the oldies (91.31 combo) works better though.

Well you may NOT be able to do the pin mod but then you might. One of the Pins in the DVI side is like the VGA Pins you just need to find out which pin in the DVI side it is??

http://www.interfacebus.com/Design_Conn ... I_Bus.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://pinouts.ru/Video/VGA15_pinout.shtml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

According to these it appears PIN 6 is the Pin you need to remove or bend in the DVI??
