Crap!

Canada customs stopped my package for inspection...THE DAY BEFORE CANADA DAY! GRRRRRR!

I bet you anything they saw the box labelled "3D Monitor", and said "$*#), we really need to try this out!"

Neil

Haha if customs like it you will get it in 2-3 months due to "technical issues" and the glasses will be akll smuged up :) Yeah customs is the bane of getting stuff internationally - when will Japan finally conquer us all and get rid of these silly "borders".

Very nice of Zalman. As much as I might want one I would much rather someone who doesn't have a 3d solution to win it because I think they will be a lot happier. I am still fine with my Zalman, no complaints.

Would I like one? :woot My tower can handle 3D but all I've got is an old 60/75HZ 19"CRT monitor, I haven't even seen 3D gaming yet. This would be an awesome upgrade I could show off to my friends. :shutter In other words my answer would be a resounding "YES!! please :D ."

Yeah. I will exchange it for my current Zalman.

I'd rather add it to my current zalman (yes, despite the size difference). But I agree with cybereality and should be given to someone without 3d hardware.

Nice thought, and it seems that it's already happening. Unfortunately (sorry for the 'unfortunately' word to the chinese members) the country will be China.

EDIT: Ok, different resolutions mean infinite problems to make them work together in 3D. I drop my words.

If you really want to give one away I'll certainly have one!! It would certainly beat my anaglyph specs!

That looks amazing. I'd love to give this a try to see if I can make it work with MacOSX, and to see the difference between a commercial and homebrew (parallax) solution.

while MTBS doesn't do hardware reviews (which I'm not sure is a good thing), could you at least film the unboxing of the zalman in 3d since that technically won't be a review just an unboxing :P

I never understood this unboxing fascination. I mean really! You make it sound like a computer strip-tease.

The new plastic smell is addictive too bad its poisonous.

...well if 3d was anything like audio it'd make sense, you dont have to tweak it , just plug it in. Oh, and plastic is a sign of cheap there  .

But with 3d, it takes months of learning, building , thinking to reach full potential, at least with pj's theres at least 85% DIY factor involved, given you dont spend an arm&leg. Eventually you have to combat ambient lightning too, so unboxing is nothin fun.

Hell we spent months with that EDID crap

If you don't want the Zalman 3D monitor (who wouldn't want a Zalman 3D monitor?!?), you can always hope for the Panasonic 50" 3D HDTV!

It has been more than a few days. I don't see how to enter the drawing. Was it posted and I am just somehow overlooking it?
