...in March after they get back from the Gamers Conference.

What kinds of questions are you really irking to know?

Some I have...
-What is the status on the high res (720p) TDVisor
-What inputs are required, video, power and ?
-Has cost changed from previous postings
-Dual video input vs single
-Stereo modes supported
-Video properties supported
-What software/drivers will be available
-What kinds of physical adjustments are possible
-What kinds of software adjustments are possible
-What about head tracking
-Speakers

-???

Let's say I am also able to demo the TDVCam...

If you test it, you should try to compare it to other solutions you know.

It shouldn't ghost, but I've heard HMD's might have
1) Bad colors
2) narrow field of view
3) Too heavy/not comfortable

What do you mean with power? Watts? I'd like to know, if it needs less energy than the display of a notebook --> longer live of Batery

What format does their cam support? It captures a picture and depth. Does that mean, you can change Depth dynamically in a screenshot/movie?

We should stop using the word "ghost". We should use the word "crosstalk" instead.

Because for HMDs there is always ZERO crosstalk. It is physically impossible for one eye to see what the other eye should see.

But HMDs often have a LOT of ghosting. Often red ghosting on one side and blue ghosting on the other side.

With a stereo image or movie you can adjust convergence, but NOT separation.

Ghosting / Crosstalk

The TDVisor present NO ghosting or crosstalk. Simply because we have two separate inputs at 85hz for the left and right eyes.

On the camera;

Is it actually a newly developed camcorder? (Because it looks a bit like two Sony camcorders in an enclosure...)

Thanks

It could be, but it likely has a sync'ed frame clock so that it can capture properly. And maybe a method to control the cameras at the same time.

its a pain to find a good 3d cam setup recording 2 different un sync clips and the cost of 2 cams. when you do release the cam will the player support other 3d setups?

The problem is that you never get below the price of 2 seperate sony's plus some development and fabrication costs.

On another note; this might be an interesting link: http://www.cosine.nl/index.php?id=3dtechnology
One of the 3D-cameras (actually a dedicated 3Dsystem) is floating in the ISS as we speak :).
