My Rift arrives tomorrow!!! What do I need to be ready?

Beta is definitely active. there is another box below that says "beta code" or something. I'm assuming I can ignore that.

What resolution should the in game settings be set to?

Widescreen?
resolution?

The resolution doesn´t matter, you have to copy the following console variables from TF2 (after using VR calibrate) and then execute them in HL2.

Console Variables:
vr_ipdtest_left_i
vr_ipdtest_left_o
vr_ipdtest_left_t
vr_ipdtest_left_b
vr_ipdtest_right_i
vr_ipdtest_right_o
vr_ipdtest_right_t
vr_ipdtest_right_b
vr_separation_user_inches

Thank you for your help. Just tried the demo on the little house. OMFG, the 3D is unbelievable. The screen door effect is bad but I don't care. I've never felt anything like that. With a high res panel this is going to revolutionize gaming. I literally felt like I was there. I had my Astro surround headphones and a fan blowing on me and it felt like I was at that little villa.

Please spread the word to fellow gamers. Amazatron like a mofo.

edit: What is "vr calibrate" is it in HL2? LOL sorry guys
