Yes +1 for Brantlew's Red Rovr support! Imagine it, red rovr, rift, hydra, and an empty flat ten acre section alone in the countryside. Death by hyper excitement.

Backing on my next paycheck tomorrow Everything in that video made me so much more excited for this than I already was.
It's nice to see what Denny really looks like. I swear, his avatar picture on here just makes me think of Keifer Sutherland.

When GDC kicks in I think a lot of people will discover it. Especially if it gets Press as the first Made-for-Oculus game.

I feel silly for not recognizing it sooner.

Just backed this a moment ago!
This game looks very cool man, perfect game for Oculus Rift! Are you able to say at this time if the demo this August will include full Oculus Rift support? Regardless I'm sold and you have my money

Re: The Gallery: Oculus Rift Adventure Game KICKSTARTER LIVE
Again, thanks for the support everyone! You guys are great!
We would absolutely LOVE to bring co-op into the mix. It was a long-time "we've got to do this!" feature but it requires a dedicated approach. The best we can do is focus on the single player and hope we reach the stretch to co-op to make it happen.
Thanks again all!
We were a bit surprised by that ourselves!Pingles wrote:It's currently listed on Kickstarter under "Staff Picks"

Customization could include skin tone changes but for right now we'll be focusing on a more basic implementation (clothing item colors, logos) unless we exceed a certain level of funding.phillypro wrote:youll see my donation in about 30 minutes

LOL. Its funny, the original inspiration was M.C. Escher drawings. I think the Dactyl Nightmare designers probably had a similar basis for inspiration. Its totally appropriate though isn't it?!mahler wrote:I feel silly for not recognizing it sooner.

Oh you bet! That is the key area of hardware focus.drgroove101 wrote:Just backed this a moment ago!

Backed at the $30 level.
I've been following your updates and love the game concept (perfect for the Rift). Try to get an alpha demo out as soon as you can because I'm sure people will be starving to have demos they can use to show the rift to their friends.
Good luck!

Re: The Gallery: Oculus Rift Adventure Game KICKSTARTER LIVE
Very good Kickstarter page. Already backed it and I hope this will be a huge success for you.
An idea for an additional world:
Madness-themed based on paintings from Hieronymus Bosch. This could be a very intriguing (and terrifying/disturbing) experience in VR.
A good counter-part would be a sanity/logic world, mainly based on geometric figures and maybe some fractals and recursive stuff.
Hope you reach your very modest Kicksarter goal soon.

What about a digital camera?Tools common to the modern day Urban Explorer are available to you as an aid in overcoming some of the obstacles in your path. Such tools include: a notepad for dynamically charting your location, taking notes and interacting with context sensitive items, a spraycan for tagging areas of interest, a headlamp for much needed light, glowsticks for when the light fails, and a rope for traversing the untraversable.

That is an interesting game idea. There could be puzzles in one area of the game which have solutions elsewhere.2EyeGuy wrote:What about a digital camera?
Where in previous adventure games you'd get an item in your inventory with symbols or text that you have to use later in the game.
The camera could now be a tool (besides the notepad) to keep track of suspicious symbols on walls or other markings needed to solve a puzzle later.
Perhaps a beautiful painting with a hidden meaning that you'd like to store for later reference, without having to walk all the way back.
Or statues holding or wearing certain objects or looking in a certain direction... all details which you can write down, but it's much easier to take a picture.

If you haven't contacted RockPaparShotgun already you should. They have a weekly kickstarter article and have a lot of readers. Contact info for devs.
