Why don't you go get your parents creditcard and back it yourself :D

BTW - I just took the liberty to tip some of the gaming blogs about this... Hope it works out.

How do you find your backing #? I think I am 7 or 8.

2 Okta: looked at the number, backed, looked at the number again, double-checked, it is correct. So there you have a number :) The problem arises when the increment is not 1 but 2 or three, then you get only the said ballpark.

Smart move to start the Kickstarter one week before GDC. Oculus will get a lot of attention there and the "first" real VR game will probably be mentioned quite often. And the campaign has already taken off by then, which makes it easier for people to join in.

I'll pledge as soon as I'm home.

Repost of my Kickstarter comment which is probably more relevant on this forum:
Backed! Super excited about the project. Another idea for a stretch goal. I know it's difficult to schedule because there is really no clear target, but it would be awesome for the VR community to include plenty of API hooks into the character animation and motion control system so that prototype hardware could be easily hooked into the game for increased character control and immersion. In an idealized implementation - access to the entire skeletal model and character motion vectors would be available for enthusiasts to hook hardware like the Kinect, Omni, or Red Rovr systems into the game.

WOW! Thanks for the early support gang! Sincerely. This is ground zero and having your support means an awful lot to us, to me.

We launched late last night and here I was going to just kind of casually stroll by in the morning to mention it on MTBS. Its already been an insane morning! We're all surprised at how quickly its grown already.

Its a wonderful idea Brantlew. I'm going to pass it forward to Chris for sure! He's one smart cookie ;)

Vandalt sure are pretentious. Their sporting gear is really pricey. $250 for a T-Shirt! :o
It looks amazing though. Too bad I don't have $250. I only made the $30 Scout pledge, which I can't really afford, but I couldn't resist.

Here's the awesome looking $250 Vandalt shirt:

I've been spoiled by hyper-successful kickstarters that succeed in an hour. Even though things are going fine, I am getting worried and scared it won't make it.

I posted it on my Facebook page in the run up to the Kickstarter and I was mildly surprised how many of my friends came up to me last week asking about it. So it's really just getting people see it and then I'm sure it will easily make it's goal. If Cloudhead is luckily one/more of the gaming sites will mention it and that's when the money will really roll in.
