Well are there Shops somewhere else, than on the main-street

every parking place is for one car, the shops are all on the samestreet.

nope, they all go into the shops.. i dont remove points for this answer because i think this point was not clear. they all go phisically into the shops.

Where I live shops are closed on sundays... But that can't be the solution, because it stands there differently.
a)Maybe someone is at church - instead of shopping?
b) Who says they all go shopping at exactly the same time? The do it generally some time (during the day?), but not all at the same moment

c) the friends go shopping at home (maybe because the are still there. Nowhere is said, the go to idiotown
