I'm in the 058### range and have been expecting mine to arrive in September, or late August if I'm lucky. But if this is real perhaps I dare dream of an even earlier delivery :D
Wow, I can't believe it. My order is: #056xxx and the purchase date: Jun 4, 2013 01:04 PM PDT. It's not even a month since I made the purchase! I live in Chile so, that may be it, since the e-mail says that: "batches are normally allocated by distribution region". I may just got into a batch to Southamerica. Anyway, it seems like the production chain has improved so, who knows. You may get your Rift earlier! :D
Man I really hope I'll get mine fast :D
The only thing I worry about is that my 560 GTX Ti won't cut it and I'll have to buy a new gfx card... oh well I guess I'll have to wait and see :)

Ok got my rift but can't test it as I'm away from home (Africa).

Can someone give me a link to that new tracker page?

This one https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... oTlE#gid=0 seems out of date.

Moving to the USA, probably quicker way of getting a rift.

Funkysmell, hope you have a good birthday in a few days time, but dont get your Rift DK hopes up.

I've been waiting since early October 2012, also to Oz.

Its really bad to see orders placed more than 6 months after mine being fulfilled.

Nobody likes to complain but the international shipping appears to be all over the place.

I only can hope Oculus get their act together and send a batch to Oceania soon!

I suspect Oculus is waiting to get enough orders from Australia before shipping out the container.

I see customers in Japan and Singapore who ordered quite recently have received their rifts....why do all the Australian customers have to wait for a whole shipping container? Can't be much of a price difference in shipping to Singapore or Australia? Two things I have been looking forward to of late...the rift DK arriving and the election...the election might come first at this rate!

You have NOT been waiting long enough. Those of us who have been waiting long enough have OrderIDs like 200xx and ordered 4 months before you. I didn't get my birthday present last week. Don't expect any sympathy. :P

I know, I would have gone postal by now. Although Star Citizen is 18 months away, still a chance there if it late.

Another week goes by of seeing orders placed six months after mine being fulfilled and I'm still stuck on ready.

its is absurd how orders placed in September and October 2012 are still stuck at READY, while others from 2Q 2013 have shipped!

Seriously Oculus, how can you treat your customers so badly. You have had my money now for 8 months and you still wont tell me when my order will ship. Why not?

Meanwhile I watch people in nearby Asia who only ordered a few weeks ago get their rifts. You have told me it has nothing to do with the customs mess for US orders so whats the problem?

Oculus VR...what the hell is going on? I have been restrained....but seeing you continuing to send rifts to nearby countries while orders like mine from last year still languish.....

You proudly announced your $16m fund raising, now for heavens sake, spend some money and get your act together and send out peoples rifts in the order they placed their orders without any further BS.

Fix this mess now.

Good news: we've (finally) resolved the US customs issue. Now that we've sorted out the mix-up (it was due to missing paperwork on our end), future shipments should be processed smoothly.

The first ~2,500 dev kits have cleared customs and are now on their way to the warehouse for fulfillment. We expect to get all of these processed, labeled, and in the mail early next week (some should make it out Friday). The second batch of 1,000 units is being processed by customs now.

A quick update on Australia and New Zealand Rifters: we have a large batch of units queued up, and the hold-up is that we're setting up a fulfillment center for the region. We'll have more info for you next week.

Sorry again about the delays and thanks for bearing with us!

// cybereality

PS. If you’re in a situation where your address is changing within the next few days, just email support@oculusvr.com with more details and we’d be happy to help coordinate your kit’s delivery. Thanks again!
Still got a little wait Aussies :? at least all the Americans rifts are on the way to their doorsteps now and not stuck at customs

I don't see why we need a fulfillment center. Shipping from Hong Kong seemed to work OK last time.

Australia has no taxes or customs fees on anything less than $1000.

New Zealand is more difficult though, I think they have to pay GST on the total cost (including shipping), plus a $38 IETF.

Exactly 2EyeGuy, the Kickstarter units were shipped to Au/NZ without a problem.

We cant be talking hundreds of units for Au/NZ at this point in time, instead of generating all this bad feeling why cant Oculus VR just stop delaying and ship our rifts?

Customers in Singapore and Japan who ordered six months or more after me have received their rifts, why is it so hard to send us ours?

DK2 and impending consumer version, I guess.

It went smoothly for the customer before, but maybe it was too much overhead for Oculus? Especially if you consider how many more units are going to be pushed down here when the thing is actually out. They must've thought, "ok that was great, but we really need to be able to handle more".

@ 2EyeGuy: That is the usual situation with NZ, but for my Rift, I didn't have to pay any of that, as it was listed as a 'prototype'.

okay, im incredibly confused about the time it takes to get a rift.
Is there any german fellow who can tell me how long it took/ how much it costs (shipping costs and german taxes?)

Because on the homepage it says that orders that are done now are supposed to ship in august? Is this realistic?

It appears post after post point to it being random, I've only been following for about 8 months and I'm on delay number 4 or so. Most companies are the opposite and delay development over & over, but shipping takes *literally* a month. Even new companies, Guild Wars (original anet team) had like a 4-6 men and they never had problems shipping physical disc/boxes out.

I think Oculus should just break down and out source ALL of shipping, in fact, guy mentioned on Oculus forums how they could ship direct via EMS and none of this crap would of happened or been Oculus' problem to begin with.

Does anyone know what's happening? I see no updates by a while, and only a few (apparently) have received a kit in Europe recently.
I dunno why OVR doesn't update us more often... how much time do they needs to write a post on their website every week? 5 minutes?

46733 ARRIVED BELGIUM
at work now...briefly tried tuscany...its running at 60 fps so i have a feel for the motion blur which is terrible imo...
The resolution is actually better then i expected from reading all the bad things...and so its the screendoor effect....
eventhough the blur is BAD I LOVE IT...unlike anything i've ever seen...you ARE there :)
super glad!

EDIT: (turns out the tuscany demo is much more blurry than anything else...weird...it was running at 60 fps though)
