Hey guys,
I just downloaded unity, and the demo that comes with the software is a top down/isotropic style 3rd person shooter.
Not that im the man to do it, but I think this will a great test for the rift, as this is the standard viewpoint of most RTS games.
Actually reminded me of xcom a bit.
Given the unity support it wont take long to get this working, and then we can see if games using this perspective are a viable option for use with the rift.

Another scenario would be just distance-fog and the possibility to look up and see far into the distance, like across the map in a strategy game. It really is a bit abstract to think about games that normally have a fixed perspective and imagine how to display them in a headtracked headset
