Hehe, funny.

Maybe if you put up some reviews of stuff you already have and people like them, you will get free stuff sent to you to review.

hmm that is a good idea. I like free stuff :) I'll perhaps start reviewing non stereoscopic stuff.. heh that's a sweet idea.

I think well made video reviews are great. If the voice is clearly understandable and not too fast or too slow, it could give a lot of information in a short time.
It's much faster than reading all the stuff yourself.

I liked this one, although I had to watch it twice to understand it

+ I liked the inserted stuff - pictures, movies, and writing.
- It might be a little boring for the average joe
- It's hard for me to listen, but I'm more of a reader&writer anyways

Idea: maybe have a better microphone and more 'overlayers'. It might also help to have more high quality screen videos in it, so new people get a idea, of what to expect and how things work...

Maybe you could make 2 versions: one for beginners and one for enthusiasts :)

update:
maybe it helps to speak slower and play the whole Video faster afterwards... I have not tried something similar, but maybe it's possible/helpfull...

thanks for your advice.
this was recorded on a digital camera (digital photo camera that also takes video, not the miniDV kind), so using the mic there is impossible. however I plan to use a 2-webcam solution to record in anaglyph, and also use a mic there.

hopefully with the new mic my voice will be more clear, and I try to speak clearly but I can't help my ramblings :)

regarding boringness for the average joe: you mean to add more 3rd party video stuff to make it more tv-like? While possible, the problem with that I can only afford to add very short cuts since the youtube time is limited to 10 mins, and also since those videos are on youtube anyway. I'm more of a directory type of thing to set people on their way. However I do indeed think that adding just a tad more of em will do good.

I was afraid you might hate me for what I wrote :D

But I think beeing a director is helpfull, if you put the right things together and maybe explain them (better than the original video).
