So I found this while looking around Kickstarter a bit.

The specs for this thing are pretty good, although the vertical FOV is kinda low. Nevertheless, it can stream wide FOV HD video over the internet and is being specifically built for telepresence. Plus, its (relatively) cheap at 400$, making it much more accessible to the wider public. Too bad I'm a poor college student, Id love to open this thing up and take a look inside.

I don't see the advantage of a 6-cameras array for a telepresence usage at the moment.
Why not simply using two fullHD fisheye cameras (with software distortion correction) in order to have 3D viewing and an even larger FOV with a more natural 16:9 aspect ratio?
