projector with high resolution (like the LCD).

Maybe this would make an iZ3D projector?

Go to http://Lumenlab.com if you want to do this, but honestly - you will not achieve commercial projector quality. You can get close, and you can get higher resolution but there is problems with dark corners and a dull overall image. I know, I spent over $4000 fooling around with these setups. Mind you I recouped some of that money when I sold everything, but unless you like to tinker don't bother.

hi!
there is also www.allinbox.com click on th e"allinbox" button!
iz3d projector won't work because if the drivers don't detect a iz3d monitor they don'T work. and moreon you would have to kill a iz3d monitor in order to have the correct lcd pair for a perfect polarization...
at the end it is cheaper to buy 2 projectors and you get a higher quality.
bye

But if it worked, it'd be a superb (widescreen?) projector, comparable with dual projectors!
In addition the bulp's should be much cheaper.
I think it might be difficult to build a good widescreen projector, so maybe the smaller and older iZ3D would do great (also cheaper, if one is available )

hi!
i followed for a long thime this kind of projects. there are several problems:
1) the light must be coerent, else you can't have a sharp image, in order to have that you must buy a commercial projector light bulb.
2) for those big-sized monitors you nee several big sized lenses and i don't know if a lense can depolarize the light.. for whatever the reason is, the filters are everytime put outside the projector.
3) the old iz3d montors have a lot of ghosting. add that ghosting t the default passive projection ghsting and you won'T be able to use it
4)in order to have a sharp image, both lcds must be at the same distance from the lences. obviously that is not possible, so one screen is off 2 or 3 mm and that causes an additive bad ghosting effect.
5) the overall cost is much higher than 2 normal projectors.

Sorry to resurrect a "dead" thread, but there is a kooky guy in brazil who did this with 2x 1440x900 panels a couple years back.
It is entirely possible to do dual passive projection with dual projectors, it works just fine. (PS, no ghosting, as long as the polarization comes out right, my dual silver screen rig did just fine.)
