so heres the deal. i have a samgsung hl67a750 and i have a ps3. would i need anything more than a 3d emitter and a pair of shutter glasses to make this work? i tried google and the words EDID and 3DA-1 pop up and i honestly have no idea what either of those two are but they seem important. im sorry if i sound like a newb but i would just like a clear answer before i soend $181 on four glasses and an emitter.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003RZ ... dp_product" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; if theres a better deal out there than that would be greatly appreciated

This section is fine. I believe the model Samsung is one of the older "3D Ready" TVs, so its isn't automatically compatible with PS3. PS3 uses the new HDMI 1.4a 3D format, so you will need to find a converter. There are some converters here:

You can also find more info and other solutions in this (long) thread on AVS:

Re: samsung hl67a750 + ps3 HELP!
the one you want is the mitsubishi 3dc-100s:

http://www.unisentvoffer.com/unisentvof ... etails.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
i would forego the ps3 and stick with a pc if you want to game on that display. 3d Vision kit if you go Nvidia or you could get some cheaper DLP-link glasses if you don't have Nvidia.

If you only want to play PS3 games in 3D and view 3D movies in 720p the VIP Gamer is a more affordable choice than the 3DC-100S ($199 vs $288).

I have this same TV and the 3DC-100S and it freakin rocks! Make sure to get the Viewsonic DLP link glasses and you'll be all set. The 3DC-100S also works real nice for the Xbox 360.
3D bluerays, games, are stunning on this set. Much better than my brand new Samsung super slim bezel LED LCD. No ghosting at all.
Hope this helps.
