A supercompact 320x240 AR display that can attach to eyeglasses, and a bulkier one using an 800x600 Kopin microdisplay:

I've heard about those type of displays before, but I can't imagine them being that great. It doesn't seem like they have the optics to make it truly immersive and/or useful.

I think the point of these is precisely not to be immersive. They are intended to convey some constant flow of information while interfering with normal eyesight as little as possible.
