FYI, this is Hugo Gernsback, founder of the magazine "Amazing Stories." The yearly Sci-Fi achievement awards "The Hugos" are named after him. Pioneered the art of texting/twitter abbreviations with his first novel entitled: "Ralph 124C 41+" - "one to foresee for many"("one plus"). Was apparently a more skilled publisher than writer, as several sci-fi authors referred to him as "Hugo the Rat." The TV glasses were, of course, just a publicity stunt, another Gernsback specialty.
