3ds type display in mrg2 type headset?

Post by bobv5 »

Like the title says, the foreign cloners must be close to bringing out displays of this type. Is there any reason why somebody couldn't use it as a hmd with a suitable lens?

You don't have to wait for clones. You can build this yourself for cheap, check the video in my sig.

MRG have too big horizontal FOV, with such FOV actually your lenticular lens or parallax barrier need to be non-linear I guess.
Oculus Rift, Vuzix Wrap 920 AR!, Vuzix VR920, Liquid Image MRG 2.2, Razer Hydra, P5 Glove, Microsoft Kinect, TrackIR5, 2 x Hillcrest Labs Freespace tracker, Fujifilm finepix real 3d w3, GeForce 9800GT 1Gb, GeForce GT 430 1Gb, DELL XPS 17 l702x with GeForce 555 GT 3Gb, and good-old VFX1 setup
