Just ordered a new sony 3d tv, a few quesiton :)

Hello people,

So glad I found a community dedicated to this topic, look forward to spending more time in here, and reading through all this good stuff.

Anyways, I just picked up a Sony 32" EX720 for my desk. should get it in a couple days.

http://www.sonystyle.ca/webapp/wcs/stor ... 1666294381" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I also grab a pair of these glasses.

Now my original intention was to get Nvidia's 3D vision setup, as I plan to most play 3D games, on my PC. Starting with black ops.

I use a Zoltac GTX 560 Ti OC.

Now the main question is, do I really need Nvidia's 3d glasses? I would prefer not to get it, but if I have a much better 3D experience using it, then I will take that route.

So what do you think? and any thoughts of the TV I chose?

Thanks

John

Yeah, the setup should be nice. All you need to get is the Nvidia 3DTV Play software:

That will work with the stuff you bought (the Nvidia glasses themselves are not compatible with that TV).

The Sony EX720 is not listed among the supported TVs for the 3DTV Play software, since this model is quite recent it may only be a question of time before it's supported though.

You can still try the 14 day free trial of 3DTV Play to verify if it's actually supported, even if it's not displayed in the list. But I think it could be a better idea to wait for NVIDIA to add support for your model, else your trial period could expire before that and you may not be able to test it freely.
