i have some problems with this game.
if i start a new game i am in a bunker. the game look perfect there (2d hud, 3d shaders and effects and a crosshair like the nVidia lasersight). But if i go outsite the game becomes 2d. if i look at the bunker-door it is 3d and if i look a bit right or left it becomes 2d.

i have search for a config-file, a registry value or some console commands to solve the problem but i cant find anything.

i also have test the Dragon 3D Stereo Utility and a lot of graphiccard configuration.

someone have the same problem?

I don't have this game, I checked and couldn't find any demo for it either, bummer.

I downloaded those, installed and tried it out.

On first attempt, when I enable stereo, the screen brightens slighty, but there still is only one image. I try F3/F4 and F5/F6, nothing happens. So far, I don't see any Stereo3D, unfortunately.

You just need to copy the gamedata folder into you Stalker folder.

Thanks scarab, that worked for me. I haven't gotten stereo3d to work yet. I'll try different areas of the map and see if it works anywhere.

Ok, I tried again and I see what you are talking about. It is like _IF_ I point at a railroad train cabin that has an interior, then 3d is enabled and it looks very good! But if I'm not looking toward and enclosed space, stereo is disabled.

I stand facing a train car. I spin around and around. For 180degrees, stereo is enabled, for the other 180degress it is not enabled.

Strange!

I saw this kind of effect in SWAT 4. I wonder what's going on. I think others have worked ok with SWAT 4.

So it seems I get the same results as you, but don't have a solution unfortunately.

It seems to be directional at least for some parts of the map.
I can face in a single direction where stereo is working, run straight forward for a couple hundred feet or until I cna go no further and S3D is great.
I turn around, S3D goes away. I run back where I came from and S3D is disabled the entire time.

The result is consistent, able to be reproduced.

Some Tips to someone who try to get it work:

you can open the console with "^" and with "Tab" you can switch between all console commands.

If you change something you must restart the game (in most cases).

On my system Stereo only works with static lights.

maybe this can help to find the needle in a haystack.

You have to use Dragon 3D Stereo Utility, you can find it in the download section on this site. Just point the program to XR_3DA.exe in the bin directory.

Yea, I got them too but it?s only for a coupple of min when you start the game.
Try to move away from where you start and se if there still there

I can't get this game to work and I don't know why, I don't get any 3d. I know that it was mentioned to put the gamedata folder into the stalker folder but I don't get that, could someone explain?

You just need to copy the gamedata folder into you Stalker folder if you have download the russian demo version and want to make the menu english.

if you have an normal retail version you dont need to copy something.

to get it work you need to use Dragons 3D Stereo Utility and you must set the lighting to static.

In some cases you have a lower framerate if you use it. If you dont need it simply dont use it. I just use it if a game dont look as it should look.
