passive dual vga stereo with laptops help

Post by JAM »

Hey All,

I have been using a passive dual VGA projector system for some time now, but my desktop computer is reaching the end of it's life. I would like to replace the desktop computer with a laptop, but i do not know of any laptops that will drive 2 VGA (HD-15 analog style) projectors. I would prefer to continue using a passive system in that I did not like using the shutter glasses required for active stereo and i already own the passive equipment.

I had seen a matrox dualhead2go product that will allow you to use multiple displays with a laptop, but this seems to show up in XP as a single wide monitor, so i do not believe that will work (unless there is an nvidia 3d mode that draws the left eye on the left half the screen and the right eye on the right half).

Any suggestions on what i can do?

Thanks in advance.
