Zalman 19" positioning

Post by syllopsium »

I've had a Zalman 19" monitor for the last six months. 2D wise, it's nothing special, but when the 3D works it really is rather good.

The only issue is that unlike the 22" version, it only has a
tilt control on the monitor. Still, this isn't much of an advantage
because to hit the 3D sweet spot I've had to raise it a foot above
my desk.

I thought I'd just check if this is a standard experience for
everyone else, or if I'm doing something stupid. I also need to
find a better method of raising it above the ground than a pile of
books! A VESA arm is one option, but most are either too short, or
ridiculously expensive. The monitor was under 200 quid..

You should be able to tilt the monitor into the correct viewing angle but seeing as you've had it for 6 months you probably know the limitations. Other option is to get a monitor arm, which will allow for all the adjustment you need.
