Hey guys,
my name is Dennis,
im from germany and my english is not soo good :D

I´ve got a problem with the Nvidia 3d vision Drivers...
I go to the Nvidia controll panel and then to "Stereoscopic 3D funktion"

There are 2 ways to enable the 3d stereo,
run the setup assistent ore set a tick in the box..

Here is a screenshot,
where you can see what i mean..

http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/664/ ... nelste.jpg

If i run the setup assistent ore set a tick in the box my screen turns black,
on the Monitor in the LCD box is written "New Mode" and screen is black.
If i shut down the cumputer the screen turns on and the computer is shutting down...

2 years ago i got the same system but a gforce 6800gtx and the 3d elsa revelator glasses,
and with old driver combination i´ve got stereo 3d on this pc....

Now i would buy the "Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ GeForce 3D Vision Bundle :shutter"
but what is if i buy this and install that all and i want to enable 3d vision and my screen turns black....
Ore you think the monitor is the problem,
ore the graphic card is defekt?!!!?!

Because of this error,
I installed my new operating system,
from Win7 64bit to WinVista 32bit...

And on WinVista the same error with the same drivers..
Go to nvidia controll panel aktivate 3dstereo,
Black Screen.....
I dont know what i have to do...

My System:
System: WinVista 32bit
Processor: Amd Athlon 64 x2 Dual core 2,6 ghz x2
Motherboard: Abit Fatality SLI 32x
Graphic: Gforce PNY 9800 GTX
RAM: 2048 mb ddr2 ram
Monitor: Philips 19" CRT Monitor who Supported 120hz@ 800x600 100hz@ 1024x768

Hi and welcome! :)

3D-vision isn't my playground but:
Does 3d-vision discovery works? (the anaglyph mode) if it does then you might have refreshrate/resolution problems: try locking your refreshrate to 100Hz in stereomode and configure your game to 1024x768 and see if it works.
Have you tried older versions of 3D-visiondrivers?

Cheers!

The wizard is annoying. On my crt and my non-certified projector (Sharp XR-10X) it always started at a way too high resolution which the crt/pj could not handle. Always had to trick it to get it enabled, don't know what I did exactly, but I think there is a setting in the registry that makes the driver think the wizard has already completed.

Nowadays with my 3dvision certified projector (Acer H5360) I have no such problems because the wizard knows not to start at ridiculous settings.

I have now checked in the registry but found nothing.
I'm not so good at editing the registry.
The resolution I have set to 1024x768 @ 100hz but I still get a black screen when I activate the 3d option.

I have a Zalman too. Are you sure you are using the correct NVIDIA S-3D Driver?

Here is a direct link to the Zalman driver. It is different from the NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision driver:

Sorry about that. I don't know why I thought you had a Zalman.

Neil

Hallo Dennis,

to my knowledge the setup wizard automatically switches to 1280x1024 (I experienced a similar problem when using a small monitor as a dummy). If you are using a CRT that should render no problem however... You can try a couple of things: set the display to 1280x1024 go to the monitor control panel pick the highest refresh rate (even if that'S just 75 Hz) with the "Do not show modes supported by the monitor" and apply this setting. Try whether this takes you through the setup. If not, try disconnecting the USB emitter and run the setup in 3D discover mode. After that reconnect the emitter, you should now be able to pick "generic CRT" from the drop down list. When you now click the "run test application" button you should first see a panel that allows you to adjust resolution and refresh rate, do so and launch the test app...

hope that helps...
