Hi everyone. I have an xbox 360, an xbox 360 vga cable and a 3D Zalman Trimon monitor. Some months ago I bought "Invincible Tiger" and I know it does not work with the 22" Zalman Trimon monitor (but it works with the 19", it's in the FAQs of the Invincible Tiger website). However... the Zalman Trimon monitor can play stereo-3D content if it receives a 1680x1050 resolution input in interlaced (horizontal) mode; the xbox 360 supports 1680 x 1050 via vga cable, and the Invincible Tiger game has an interlaced mode...then, why does it not work? I have not tried yet with "AVATAR: The Game" because I have just ordered it and I am still waiting for it... will it work? Unfortunately, Ubisoft FAQs say so: Quote: 3D-Enabled TVs (*tested during development): - Mitsubishi: WD-57833, WD-65833, WD-73833, WD-60737, WD-65837, WD-82737, WD-60735*, WD-65735, WD-65736, WD-73735, WD-73736, WD-65737, WD-73737, WD-82737, WD-73837, WD-82837, WD-65835, WD-73835, L65-A90. - Samsung: HL-T5076S*, HL-T5087S, HL-T7288W, HL-T6189S, HL-61A750, HL-72A650, HL-T5089S, HL-T5676S, HL-T5687S, HL-T5689S, HL-T6176S, HL-T6187S, HL61A750, HL67A750, HL50A650, HL56A650, HL61A650, HL72A650. - Hyundai: S465D*. - JVC: 463D10*. 3D-Enabled PC Monitors ( for use with PC version only; *tested during development): - All NVIDIA® 3D Vision™* supported PC monitors and TVs available at: ( http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_ ... ments.html) - Hyundai: W220S, W240S, P240W, S320D. - Miracube: G240S, G320S, G460X. - Zalman ZM-M220W.- iZ3D*: H22OZ1-G01. So, it seems like it would not work...but I really want to give it a try, because it doesn't make sense Might it be that the xbox 360 works with the Zalman 3D monitor, while the ps3 does not...? And they simplified the whole thing by writing "for use with pc version only"...? I guess I'll find out in a few days.... but, technically speaking, what do you guys think?

On the pc-version you can enter one of the interlaced options for the zalman right? I have no idea about the 360 though.

Lol! Let's see what happens when 3d for consoles is a true reality.

Hi, I have some experience with xbox 360 and I would imagine the game is not actually rendering at 1680x1050. It's likely being upscaled through the Xbox's hardware scaler from some lower resolution such as 1280x720 which would corrupt the interlacing and destroy any 3D effect. Have you tried this and does it seem to be the case? This could explain why the smaller Zalman display is supported. It's possible the game runs quickly enough to render natively at 1280x1024, the resolution supported by the 19" screen. koshien wrote: I have not tried yet with "AVATAR: The Game" because I have just ordered it and I am still waiting for it... will it work? Does a demo exist? At least if it doesn't work the game still supports crosseyed 3D on any display

I might think of selling my 22" monitor in order to buy the 19" model...

For Invincible Tiger and Avatar on xbox 360 (as I said, I'll check if it works in a few days). My macbook pro can't run Avatar at 1680 x 1050 smoothly, not even with the lowest details...so, in the end, I guess it would be better for pc gaming too... Hopefully there will also be some more 3D games for xbox 360 in the future. I really don't know, I am going to clear up my mind with the console version of Avatar and then I'll see Meanwhile, I found the 19" model for 130 euros (shipping included, since I am personally going to take it) and that's a nice price, since I could sell my 22" monitor for 150-200 euros.

Stereoscopic 3D mode is only supported via HDMI for invincible Tiger. http://www.blitzgamesstudios.com/invincibletigersupport/display_setup.phpInvincible Tigers works with the Zalman using an HDMI to DVI connector to the monitor. Looks like VGA is a no go. Must be a technical reason behind it. Maybe someone here with more tech know-how can explain because I'm a little curious. VGA can't support the high refresh rates?
