Suggestions for mobile 3D gaming?
Hello everyone.
I've long been a user of 3D glasses. I started with anaglyphs and went to elsa's old 3D glasses system long ago and then it all sort of dropped out of view so to speak, but now here I am again!
I have a notebook (Acer Aspire 4530, with an Nvidia Geforce 9100M chipset), and am looking for a decent 3D glasses setup. I am using Windows 7 X64 if that throws any kinks into the equation....
I own a few pairs of professional anaglyph glasses (red/cyan), and recently installed the Zalman Stereoscopic drivers on my notebook, but they refuse to enable..even though I'd like to just muck around with anaglyph again.
I just tried the iz3d drivers but they actually cause Win7 to stop loading explorer after installation, so that was a no go.
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately anaglyph is your only option for using the laptop screen.
I recommend the Pro-Ana glasses:

You might also be able to use the VR920 headset to game in 3D.

Any idea how to get the stereo to actually enable?
When I enable it via the nvidia curl pnl it balks and says its not enabled...services are running in the background though.

Re: Suggestions for mobile 3D gaming?
It should be as simple as clicking the checkbox in the control panel. You may have to hit control-T while in game for it to start. Otherwise the iz3d driver are pretty good (at least on XP/Vista).

evidentally theres a bug or block going on with the new drivers where it wont let you use a laptop panel for anaglyh even...have to hook up to an external display...annoying!

I never had to deactivate UAC or whatever windows security mechanism. I just have the standard UAC message when installing new software and that's it.
