Sniper Scopes

Post by subwoofa »

I was wondering how some of you use sniper scopes when gaming in stereo.

My solution has been to bind the Stereo Toggle and the game's Scope to the same key (In my case, Shift works well). So, stereo is switched off while aiming through the scope and is switched back on when I put the scope down.

(By the way, the Bullet-Cam view in Sniper Elite is awesome in Stereo  )

Make sure the two views aim at the same spot (might not work with a lot of separation).

do like in reality.. just close one eye... :) more realistic than that is impossible.... :D works perfect with iz3D for me.

Is the iz3D driver different, then? Because with my nVidia driver, the both eyes are offset from the "center line of fire", and aiming with only one eye in stereo will miss.

it depends on how you set the crosshair position. if left and right eye are exactly in the same point it works...

Here is what I think would be ideal:

You can see that he is aiming using the left image (which I believe is the right eye). Most of you seem happy with the laser sights, but I think this way is more realistic.
