Ballistics (old racing game)

Post by Tril »

Not sure if it's the right forum section. I wanted to share my experience with a game.

I played the game Ballistics with my shutter glasses a few months ago and it was nice. This is a racing game. You race a car that sticks to the wall of a round tunnel. There are obstacles on the course and the speed you can attain if you avoid the obstacles is almost without any limit. The concept of racing in a tunnel wall is very well suited to getting a good experience in S-3D. Some sprites are not at the correct depth but apart from that, it works well.

This game normally gets boring fast but played in S-3D it's fun for a longer time.

It's an old game so the graphics are bit dated and it's probably hard to find nowadays.

You can find videos of the game on YouTube.

It's not freeware.
There's a demo available. I found one using google.
I have no idea if it uses directx or opengl.
It's a game from 2001 so it should run fine on all recent hardware with absolutely no problems.
