MTBS' 3D Game Analyzer (M3GA) & Recommended Game Settings

Post by Neil »

Hello everyone!

The MTBS team has been working hard on a special utility called MTBS' 3D Game Analyzer (thanks RageDemon for coining the name!). By answering a series of multiple choice questions, this tool will rate how good a game is in stereoscopic 3D. It is non-proprietary, and will work with all S-3D driver solutions. Please remember to share your results in the appropriate forums so others can benefit from your findings!

The program is a work in progress, and we have plans for something more once we get through these testing phases. All feedback and ideas are valued.

Special thanks to Yuriy Niksych for translating our algorithm into a convenient flash program that everyone can use.

Here are the rules:

1. Make sure you are familiar with MTBS' Stereoscopic 3D Settings Guide. Without understanding this, you will have trouble getting accurate results with this analysis program.

2. Share your results in the appropriate iZ3D or NVIDIA subforum.

3. All bugs and recommended fixes should got in this forum.

4. Make sure you have Adobe FLASH installed.

5. If you are running an NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision solution, you must have advanced settings active so you can adjust your convergence settings as described in the above guide.

It is our plan to use this algorithm for our official game reviews. This way the driver developers, the game developers, and our own members know what our expectations are, and have the means to reasonably predict how the games will score with their solution.

This is the first release of this program, and all ideas and feedback are welcome.

Regards,
Neil
