I would add another thing:
- Make sure the PCI-E slot lock is disengaged
- Do not FORCE the GPU out of the slot
3. Go watercooling baby
1 slot card, no issues (although is heavier than the stock cooler 
))) but you have the "pipes" keeping in "tension" ) 
(My 4090 FE water-cooled is the smallest card I actually had in a LONG time)
