from 3D Fix Manager:

For 3D Vision mode to work you have to press F7 as soon as you see the intro video to force exlusive fullscreen mode.
Pressing the button too late causes the game to freeze. This step is not requried when using Checkerboard / 3DTV Play.

Set ingame settings manually:
Motion Blur: Low
Depth of Field: Off
Anti Aliasing: Off or FXAA
Vsync: Off (Force Vsync on via Nvidia Control Panel instead)

Important Notes:
Changing game resolution while exlusive fullscreen mode was forced results in crashing / freezing the game.
Please change resolution in non-exlusive fullscreen mode instead by simply restarting the game with pressing F7.
Don't use RTSS as it will introduce bad framerates.

Automatic Game Configuration:
Fullscreen: On

Automatic Driver Profile Configuration:
Applied via 3dmigoto
Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX2080Ti, 16GB ram, Windows 20H2, nVidia 452.06, SSD, Dell S2716DG.

That's strange, I did all of those settings correctly and it would not run in 3DTV Play

got it working thanks to Serzhas coment on HelixMod:
"After a few hours of tinkering, I finally was able to run The Evil Within 2 in 3D using 425.31 drivers on Windows 10 (1903).
The path I took differs a lot from the one described in this post. Just in case for anyone who maybe wants to run the game in 2020 :)
The path which allowed me to run game in 3D:
- Set the game resolution to 1080p in Borderless Window mode.
- Install NORMAL fix via 3DFM.
- When asked to update 3DMigoto version, backup old "d3dx.ini" and then agree to update 3DMigoto.
- Restore older version of "d3dx.ini" and delete (or comment out) "run = CustomShader3DVision2SBS" line.
- Start the game and press F7 key THE VERY moment black screen appears for 3D Vision to kick-in. If you press F7 too late game will hang."

But I made it a bit different:
1. Resolution I have selected as desktop
2. Install NORMAL fix via 3DFM.
3. When asked to update 3DMigoto version, backup old "d3dx.ini" and then agree to update 3DMigoto.
4. Restore older version of "d3dx.ini" and delete (or comment out) "run = CustomShader3DVision2SBS" line.
5. Change line x7= to "0" (because I have 3d monitor)
6. Start the game and press F7 key THE VERY moment black screen appears for 3D Vision to kick-in. If you press F7 too late game will hang.

Hi,
I have a black screen when I launch the game via geo-11 with dx9.

Thanks !
