Final Fantasy 7 pc with 7th Heaven mod manager

I'm trying to play Final Fantasy 7 with the 7th heaven mod manager. So far I can use Tridef to play the original game, but I'm trying to use 7th heaven mod manager. I want to take advantage of the upgraded graphics and 60 hz refresh rate. playing the game on the oculus is not the same when 2d. I was able to use this method originally on my 3d tv when i bought tridef originally. It's able to really pop. the menu is in the foreground and the game itself is like looking through a window. I've tried attaching tridef to 7th heaven, but it won't start. When I tried directly on the game itself. ff7.ese works, but no mods. any ideas?

I couldn't get Reshade to work with 7th heaven either.
