Easy question: best projector for 3Dnvidia visión!?
What"s the best projector in 2022 to play PC games in 3D?
I bought a projector optoma hd25e, but it's really sad that I can only play 3D games in 24hz!!!
I want to sell it and buy a new one!
What's your recommendation??
Thank you in advance!

well if you bought the Projectors that do 1920 x 1080P @120hz is that what you want cause most other 3D Projectors can only do 1280x720P @ 120hz or 1920 x 1080P @ 24hz as you found out..
there is a thread about which 4K Projectors can do 1920 x 1080P @ 120hz in the forums somehwere and I forget which model they where..

I'd almost recommend avoiding any 3D projectors which use DLP (digital light processing). Some claim that they can't see the rainbow - if you can see the moments, in between moments... DLP may not be for you.Alfredkuac wrote: ↑Thu Aug 25, 2022 3:06 pm What"s the best projector in 2022 to play PC games in 3D?

Well this is a bit untrue mostly only happens with a wierd color color wheel. and even then most dont even see it. if you do percieve the rainbow then get a True RGB Color Wheel no rainbows in those..Feisty_Fernando wrote: ↑Thu Aug 25, 2022 6:46 pmI'd almost recommend avoiding any 3D projectors which use DLP (digital light processing). Re: Easy question: best projector for 3Dnvidia visión!?
Not sure about avoiding DLP projectors, they are the only models that can get suitably bright enough to actually give decent 3D, plus they have zero crosstalk, extremely quick. The good bright models for 3D range between 3600lumens to 4200lumens.
I have owned the Optoma HD27HDR and the Optoma 1080HDR both worked well with 3D vision with a EDID override for 120hz 1080p 3D. Current models to look for would be the OPTOMA HD30HDR, OPTOMA HD39HDR, if you want something fancier that supports 4K (Native) and 1080p 120hz, look at the OPTOMA UHZ45 laser model.
Strangely enough I was susceptible to the rainbow effect while watching 2D on these projectors, but couldn't detect it all while playing games in 3D and I looked for it.

Re: Easy question: best projector for 3Dnvidia visión!?
The best projector is very subjective, the PJ and screen that you ultimately buy is ultimately dependent on the factors that are tailored to your your gaming room.
What if everyone recommends a long throw projector and you game in a tee-nee tiny room?
What if you have zero light control, well you better buy a very bright projector and perhaps a high gain screen.
What if you later want to game using 2 projector surround, well, you need to factor that in, short throw projectors are the only choice.
What if you decide you want to do grab a second PJ for passive polarized, well you have more factors to consider
Everyone's personal budget can be a huge factor, as well as availability in your part of the world. Not to mention warranty considerations, will you need to mail it across the world for repairs????
Ultra Short throw projectors can also be used, but they require that the surface being projected onto is perfectly flat. Basic screen and walls are a no go, in most cases.
FWIW, LED projectors do not have a color wheel. Laser projectors do have a color wheel, but are often brighter and last longer than bulb projectors.

If you want dual projectors, you’ll need a quadro card and a 3d Vision emitter. The regular emitter works just fine as well as 2d projectors.

Re: Easy question: best projector for 3Dnvidia visión!?
Speaking with Optoma Asia about a projector with a 1440p 120hz option. they said:
"WQHD is not a very popular resolution for home theatre.
We don’t support this resolution in all UHD models.
However, some selected models do support this resolution and refresh rate.
For example, UHZ50 and D2 are supporting WQHD (1440p) at 120Hz via HDMI"
I then asked if these projectors were displaying 1440p resolution or just accepting it and scaling it, and also if 3D Frame Sequential would activate at 1440p.
"For WQHD 120HZ, we will not do scaling down to 1080p or up to 2160p.
Unfortunately, we did NOT support frame sequential on WQHD 120Hz."

Hi 3Dnovice, I'm looking for the Optoma UHD38, really good prize an specs, is it compatible with 3D 120hz?3DNovice wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 2:46 pm Xbox has supported 1440P for awhile and reportedly has less issues than 4K.
Hopefully, with the PS5 update earlier this month that added 1440p support, more projector manufacturers will begin supporting this resolution.
Now, if they will just implement 1440P Frame Sequential and 4K Checkerboard on the 4K projectors that use a 2X pixel shift.
Unfortunately, the UHZ50 uses a 4X pixel shift with the 0.47-inch DMD, so I would imagine that frame sequential at 1440P is not even a possibility.
More expensive UHZ50, but I like it too...I don't really know if there is a big difference with the UHD38...
Black Friday is coming...hehe
