Re: 3DMigoto DLL by Kai
Hey D-man11, just want to clear up some things.
FIrst of all I would not expect these d3d11 DLLs to work in all games. The DLL from WoW is specifically made for that game and the other Evil Within DLLs are a bit more compatible with other games but unfortunately some engines need specific swapchain flags to work properly (like forced triple buffering, for which I have a different DLL). Furthermore I'm just blindly forcing this swap effect without first checking d3dx.ini or what the game does, for example if it's in borderless fullscreen or if full_screen=0 is set in d3dx.ini. So it would need a bit of work and testing to have something compatible with everything.
In any case this is not a top priority for me atm especially cuz most games work fine in exclusive fullscreen mode, but I will definitely post an update if I manage to make something better :]

Yup I think masterotaku is actually using the DLL with the forced triple buffering in TEW.
From what games I've tried, it should work in a lot of cases and it's especially good if the game normally crashes on alt tab from exclusive fullscreen, so it also makes shaderhacking a bit easier I guess.

I have hacked this way some years ago, but its a huge time consuming thing to ALT+TAB out of games, change things, return to game, check results and hope not to crash it ^^ I use my laptop to hack via LAN, its much more confortable and faster and you can diretely see changes to the prev. state ^^kaimastah wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 8:50 am Yup I think masterotaku is actually using the DLL with the forced triple buffering in TEW.

Without that dll, the improved The Evil Within 1 and 2 fixes wouldn't exist right now :p. That's how important it is to me to be able to alt+tab (and also to properly launch the damn game in 3D in this case). Thanks again, Kai.
It's useful for some games I'm checking these days too.

The triple buffer DLL is the one used in TEW and should work in most games. I'm aware that some Unity games crash and it's something specific to this engine that I haven't looked at yet.

Not hard at all actually, already have a 32bit version compiled: https://mega.nz/file/r813GYCB#FIf0FGEEz ... Z4fj-5_pnE
