Nioh 2
Blog post: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2021/03/n ... ition.html
Fix file: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Ni ... ion_fix.7z
Hotkeys:
- F1: convergence presets (0, 40, 80, 160, 240, 320). 240 by default. However, there are two or three missions that incorrectly trigger the low convergence preset because the depth of field shader is present.
- F2: HUD depth presets. 40% depth by default.
- F3: HUD toggle. Not disabled by default.
- F4: depth of field toggle. Not disabled by default.
- 5 (not the numpad): bloom toggle. Not disabled by default.
- 6 (not the numpad): vignette toggle. Disabled by default. A second press also disables radial blur in the dark realm. The third press turns all vignette and radial blur on again.
- 7 (not the numpad): FXAA toggle. Disabled by default.
- 8 (not the numpad): screen space reflections quality toggle. Unmodified by default. This doesn't control resolution. It increases the amount of geometry reflected. There is a performance cost when you use this, maybe 15-20% extra GPU usage.
- XB_LEFT_TRIGGER (holding it): this increases HUD depth to 85% when you hold it, intended for aiming with long range weapons.
Don't use motion blur.
The game triggers 3D even in borderless mode (it's what I use).
DON'T alt+tab out of the game unless you are in Nvidia Ansel. Doing it will desync some grass and other elements.
Don't use the ingame 120fps cap, because game speed becomes slower when you get less than half of the cap, meaning that anything lower than 60fps will run slower.

I've been fixing effects for a few hours, this time trying to do it the regex way. Shaders are almost the same as other games that use this engine, so it's just a matter of time.
For some reason the devs thought it would be cool to force us to use FXAA, so I'm offering the option to disable it. Also a hotkey for vignette too, just like in the last Nioh fix update.
great news to make nioh 2 playable in 3d vision

Thanks a lot. You fix 'em faster than I can play 'em I was gonna ask if you're able to reuse a lot of the Nioh fixes - glad to hear you could.

hello masterotaku
I have a problem with 3d mode.
This is only activated in full screen in the game settings (the 3d does not activate even with border mode as you quote)
Then the screen remains frozen (always the 3d active) and nioh to stop working
I specify that I am on Windows 7 64 bit and drive 425.31
Too bad for me ? or is there a trick to let me play it?

I stopped using Windows 7 in 2017, so I don't know how I can help.
I checked this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1325200/ ... 865212168/
And I saw someone saying that it crashes in fullscreen but not in borderless. But if you don't get 3D in borderless... it's time to get Windows 10 :p.
Edit: added more hotkeys to the OP description, because I forgot to write about them yesterday.

thank you for your reply
but I understand that with windows 10 there will be more 3d vision compatible games ... and as I have plenty of games still active and which work well under windows 7 ... I do not think I will take the step

I fixed a few more things (some shadows in the dojo, and the screen space reflections shader not liking being in HLSL so I fixed it now in ASM), but I'm not ready to upload a new version yet.

Hello
just to say that the game works well under windows 7 and that the 3d vision does not work by choosing full screen in the image options of the menu.
The 3d vision discover does not crash the game in full screen mode while the 120 hz freezes and crashes this one
If you have a little moment (to watch) sion I will have to do without nioh 2 in 3d vision
Thank you

Thank you for this fixmasterotaku wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 3:55 pm I have updated the OP with a second WIP fix. More hotkeys and some new fixed effects.
I added these two keys for my convenience
one for the map and one for when you shoot
( without using the keys too much for the various hud)
Grazie per questo fix
ho aggiunto queste due chiavi per mia comodità
uno per la mappa e una per quando si spara
( senza usare troppo i tasti per i vari hud)
; Convergence.mappamenù
[Key1]
Key = XB_GUIDE
type = cycle
convergence = 40, 240
separation = 40, 100.0
for the map menu
And
; HUD deptharcomirino.
[Key15]
Key = XB_LEFT_TRIGGER
type = hold
x9 = 0.8
for when shooting or pulling with the bow
Thanks

WIP 3 posted. Fixed crystals, added automatic low convergence for cutscenes and grapples, fixed something about one of the water shaders, fixed the speculars formula (affects the eyes of characters), and a few more things. Also more HUD text at depth, but in some instances it can be at more depth than we want.

3D Fix Manager -> Settings -> Nvidia 3D Settings -> Show global driver hack toggle
Check that. Then, at the top right corner, enable the global hack under the "3D" button.
I tried the game without it, and I also get a black screen with sound. With the hack enabled (which I use all the time), the game works fine.

I also have the exact same problem (version 1.27.01). I also use Windows 7 to play 3D games (I have dual boot, Windows 7 and Windows 10). The reason I don' t use 3D in Windows 10 is because the obsolete driver that prevent me to use DDLS and Raytracing with recent games, so I have Windows 10 with the last Nvidia drivers and Windows 7 with 3D vision.stfparis17 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 4:08 am hello masterotaku

And Nioh 2 is the only fixed game I have tried that I can not play using 3D Vision. I can not use fullscreen with this game (with or without 3dfix installed, so it seems to be a bug of the game). The thing is that using borderless do not kick in 3D. If I choose full screen, 3D vision kick in but the game freezes and I have to ctrl+alt+supr to close the process. It is a pity I can not play this game.

Re: Nioh 2
Windows 10 is listed as a minimum requirement in the game's Steam page, so if things don't work in an older Windows, I can't do anything about it. On W10, the the game triggers 3D even in borderless because it uses flip model (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... flip-model).b4thman wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 3:22 pm I also have the exact same problem (version 1.27.01). It's what makes Halo MCC trigger 3D Vision in borderless too (it helped a lot for alt+tabbing to fix the games).
You can. Use Windows 10, temporarily downgrade the drivers, commit to playing the game, be done with it, then go back to new drivers. Switching drivers isn't that much of a problem, unless you are playing multiple games every day.

Re: Nioh 2
I am afraid that is not an option for me, as I usually play different games at the same time. Anyways, I can read in other forums that Nioh 2 has different crashing problems and I guess devs will fix them. Maybe fulsscreen freezing will be fixed soon, even if the game is not intended to be played in Windows 7.

Nioh 2 and Nioh are on sale now on Steam.
The last time Nioh was at this price was I think close to a year ago and never since then, so grab it if you think you'll play it in the next year cause a sale like this might not happen for another year.

Thank you for the superb Nioh 2 fix, masterotaku! I have noticed only one issue with the otherwise flawless fix - the quantity numbers for item shortcuts are always rendered at screen depth, while the rest of the UI is rendered at preferred depth setting…
Dual boot VR/3D Vision disk partitioning (multiple SSDs). 3D Vision - Windows 10 v1809, 425.31 driver, 32 GB, i9-9900X@4.5 GHz, hybrid-cooled 2080Ti, 4K LG E6 OLED TV with EDID. VR/geo-11 - 3080Ti with Vive Pro 2, also have Aero, wireless lens-modified Vive Pro, Index, Reverb G2, Pimax 8K.

Known and expected. If I try to push those numbers to depth... things get wrong, to more depth than they should on repeated appearances.
