Movies with Kind Dragons hook

Post by LukePC1 »

Hi guys!

I made a testing Video of FlatOut2 with Dragons hook - to view the effects with Shutterglasses, even if the FPS are a little too low.

I Took a video of Dragons hook working in FlatOut2 in Over-Under mode (mode 3). The video was captured (with FRAPS) and can be seen with stereoscopic player now ( http://www.3dtv.at/Index_de.aspx ). There has to be choosen, that the left image is above.
Now you could see the captured video in Fullscreenmode with Nvidia's S-3D driver.

Does anyone know a better program than FRAPS? Maybe one that makes fluent movies? Maybe on of you wants to try this out and make a great 3D movie

well i found that this is one of the best for those kind of things.

maybe you need a bit more ram on your system or have programs in bg wich slow that down. emule is a program wich kills the cpu in those situations. let me know. maybe we can find a solution

I think my RAM is a little short - just 1gb. But this cant be the only thing. Maybe a variation of little programs like nHancer and other S-3D programs use some of the systhem's power. I don't use Free Download Manager for Firefox as a download Tool. But I think converting all these Dots to .avi in one rush was too much for my CPU. You have to keep in mind, that usually the GPU does the most calculation work, but now the CPU had to do maybe half of the work...
Maybe Nitro with his Quad core could do this better

Another solution'd be to compress it less in the first step (maybe .mpg?). Once I took a video which was 1GB in for just a cuple of minutes. But that was with runing Nero and trying to capture an old analog Video signal, so there was enough ram and CPU left.

Maybe there are other (better) programs for capturing normal Games?

i think that you could solve the problem by creating a new user on your pc, log in with that one, so youre shure that you do not have useless programs running in the background, put the game resolution the same as in the video (more is useless) and then take the clip.. it should work.. try it out.. ;)

Reduced resolution is a good idea!
Unfortunatly my graphics card is broken in the moment. Too much heat?
Anyway it's going to be sent for waranty soon. In the moment I'm using an older card, so I can't make much experiments.

edit:
The graphics card has been replaced within a week :)
