zSpace and Corinth Announce Partnership to Bring Immersive Digital Learning Solution to the Classroom at ISTE 2015

Collaboration Expands Content and Application Library for Grades 2-12 With More than 200 Activities

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) June 29, 2015

June 29, 2015 - Philadelphia, PA USA – zSpace, a leading-edge education technology provider that enables real world virtual reality in the classroom, announced today at ISTE 2015 that it is partnering with Corinth, a top publisher of e-learning content in more than 109 countries around the world.

zSpace blends the real world with the virtual, creating the world’s best virtual reality experience. Corinth is the most awarded K-12 EdTech startup this year, with its highly popular digital learning software, “Corinth Classroom.” The software includes the largest library of educational models available, ranging from human anatomy to chemistry or biology of animals. The 3D models can be also used for creating tests and quizzes to assess and practice the knowledge of students, or they can be printed out on a 3D printer.

When combined with zSpace’s interactive virtual reality solution, Corinth Classroom 3D models appear to float above the display in open space. The zSpace display tracks head movements to provide students with a personal and immersive virtual reality experience. Students can then “lift” images from the display using the world’s only virtual reality stylus, allowing them to gain a deep understanding of science and engineering concepts. Teachers can personalize activities and choose what appears in the zSpace learning environment from a wide range of subjects ranging from architecture and history to engineering and zoology.

The collaboration between the companies allows for an expanded content and application library covering grades two through 12 with more than 200 activities aligned to state and national standards. Schools can purchase zSpace STEM Labs with the Corinth Classroom software bundles in units of 12 systems, which are then set up as pods or labs, introduced into the core curriculum and utilized by multiple grade levels.

“As a leader in interactive 3D, we are always aiming to push boundaries further,” said Corinth CEO Ondrej Homola. “Joining forces with the leading company in virtual reality solutions in education – zSpace - was a logical step. We are excited to change science class into an immersive experience with Corinth Classroom digital content and zSpace devices.”

With this partnership, students are empowered to “learn by doing” in a virtual environment where it is easy to undo mistakes, make changes, and not worry about material costs or clean up. They can explore the water cycle or dissect plant and leaf structures without having to worry about cost or safety - and all during a school class period.

“In the 2014-2015 school year, students and teachers are already realized extraordinary results learning with solutions from zSpace and Corinth. Students are engaged with learning science concepts at a much deeper level, collaborating in teams and using critical thinking skills to solve complex challenges,” said Paul Kellenberger, CEO of zSpace. “This partnership with Corinth will only make this immersive learning experience even more compelling and realistic.”

The companies are showcasing their solution this week at the ISTE 2015 Conference & Expo in Philadelphia, the premier education technology event drawing more than 18,000 attendees each year.
