Deus Ex Human Revolution + Vireio - strange visual artifacts

Post by DGalt »

Just dowloaded Vireio and used it with my freshly-bougth Deus Ex Human Revolution.

Starting it with Oculus was pretty easy and game is almost playable :?

Almost, because on the screen I get strange visual artifacts. They can be seen in attached snapshot.
Two big dark areas on both sides of screen and shadows in the center.
Of course they move and change as I turn head or scenery changes. They look like shadows of something.

Anybody has any idea, what is going on ?

Perhaps I didn't set something properly ? I ran the game on defaults.
I've got the newest Vireio and the latest version of the game (1.4.651.0).

I'm surprised you even got it to work that much. Not sure anyone else has tried this yet.

We know about the artefacts, the game also has no VRBoost rules right now. It is on our ToDo list but we do not know when we will find time. Any help appreciated....

Looks like shadow related issues to me. I'll do a reinstall and see what I come up with.

Ya turn off shadows and SSAO from the Advanced menu. You might have to do it in steam on the second option when you launch the game (Setup Deus Ex: Human Revolution). I know I crash if I touch any of that ingame.
