I haven't seen this being mentioned on the tech-news stuff, so I though I would post it in to let you guy know

I think patents are being used as a mean to make money without making a real product but, you hold a piece of the product by hijacking someone else's idea. So it's kinda a scam.

This is just another example of why patents are crap nowadays.

Beats me how they managed to get a patent on using cameras to trace eye gaze direction - surely there is a massive amount of prior art about this?

Patents tend to be very specific, I'm sure google wouldn't own eye tracking as a overall idea?
