I'm the guy with the work goggles. As the rift's design is somewhat similar to work/ski goggles, when I was in the middle of the action, I thought to myself "man this oculus rift is great".
Just wanted to share for a laugh.

If you are a developer, can you design a riot simulator? Like, keep up with the group, things happen to the group from different sides.

I am not a programmer, I wouldn't know where to start but yeah, a riot game would be great. With barricades and stuff A GTA-like game could be nice. But with the rift, first person perspective would be best, and scary... 'cause you don't run and gun... you get run over and gunned down

During the first days of the riot, Turkish media censored all events. Even "news channels" like NTV. While Amanpour delivered news on CNN Int, CNN Turk was broadcasting a document about penguins. Twitter and facebook were the only source of actual news and footage. Which led to this:

We were fed up with not being shown how the hell Ted met the kids' mother. It's been seasons! We also get Miami Vice on cable... your number one best show. (ok even that joke is 10 years old)
