wearable lcd screen idea

Post by JDuncan »

I think a arm band made of a bendable oled screen and is wrapped around the right arm like a bracelet would let you look through your arm and see cg or something like a computer screen.

This would remove the need for something like the Google glass over one eye, and the Google glass screen would be the bendable 12" x 4" oled screen on the right forearm.

In my mind I see looking down at my right arm and seeing a bright blue sky and not my right forearm.
In the screen is another view of the world, like the forearm has eyes attached to it and what the eyes see is being broadcast on the forearm oled screen.

if augmented reality glasses were worn with the oled arm band, the augmented reality would provide a means to control the computer visible on the arm band. The augmented reality glasses would provide a keyboard and mouse feature.

Then you could look down and rest your right arm on a table and using the augmented glasses type in the air and control and view the computer on the arm band.

To create sound have directional speakers on the arm band so where you point the sound is where you hear the sound. They have speakers that broadcast sound to specific areas not audible anywhere else.
Then you could hear and see what's on your arm band and use the arm band as a computer and nobody else could see or hear what your looking at.

You would need to get the computer plugged into the oled.
Fit the oled onto the left or right arm as clothing, so it works like a bracelet.
get augmented reality glasses to plug into the computer and then you can use the augmented reality glasses to type and move the mouse on the oled screen.
And finally get directional sound so you can beam the audio so only you can hear it.

I think the oled would be curved so the pc screen would be hard to look at, but since the screen is bendable it can be made straight like a regular pc screen when your sitting down at a table.
Only when your walking around does the oled screen curve onto your arm.

All sorts of bad toys like infra red and night vision can plug into it if you have camera on the person as well that point to where you want to look.
Then you can use the screen to dimly look at your target and get infra red vision of them, or vision only visible from the augmented reality glasses so the oled and glasses provide a viewable image and without the glasses nothing is viewable.

Nice idea. I can imagine like a smartwatch can happen.
what will happen is, that because of ever shrinking node sizes in microchips and therefore uncontrolable switching events , quantum tunneling effect have to be used to switch transistors.
Its so crazy to think that even single electron transistors with ultra low power consumption (ovbiously 1e)
could be integrated. http://spie.org/documents/Newsroom/Impo ... 653_10.pdf

Combine these potential ultra low power chips with Terabytes of reRAMs, holographic NEMS,ultraflat nanolenses and you have the Matrix on your right arm. :D

and bendable batteries already at big companies.
