I know of another forum that recently went completely down and could not be restored. It was a complete loss of a lot of useful info. I'm sure this site is backup'd regularly but in case not I just wanted to remind for the very important need for backups! 
Anything is possible!

yup hopefully neil performs them. would be very sad to one day see a blank mtbs forum with 0 users and 0 threads

I would hope so 
PHPBB forums can be VERY easily hacked sometimes.. just needs to be the right person to come across them
One of my personal websites I have backup once per day, and keep all backups for a month
