Hi, I googled for *LOL* and foud this:
I think it's kind of ironically, that the answer is: are these certified?
Every good S-3D gamer could ask that to promote the certification of 3D games.
(BTW: is MTBS still certifying games if they are good in S-3D?)
Maybe it's a good Idea to make a similar picture with the 3D in mind
if I'm wrong, thanks for reading anyway

LOL! That is pretty funny.
Maybe MTBS3D could do something with the PC Game Alliance? I'm sure they would be interested in re-invigorating the PC market.
Here is a recent article about the PCGA: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_i ... tory=19106
In fact, just joining the committee could be a good publicity stunt in itself, but I have no clue what the costs would be.

You mean something like add a 'performance indicator' to the reviews?
I could think of it like this: if you can run Futurmark 06 with 3000 (is that a good number? just invented it) points you'll be able to enjoy the game in Full 3D.
Or minimum is a pc with 1000 points,
ok = 2000 points
and 3000 points will run it great... I'm not shure, if that would be a practical solution, but it would help all those people, who don't know how much power they need (or have) - as long as they have a decent benchmark to try it out...
But for some reason Neils response made me optimistically

I was thinking about this today...
I don't know how it fits in with the MTBS certification programme, but what we should be promoting is, of course, native stereo!
- pixel-perfect S-3D as the developer intended it
- no restrictions on how the scene is rendered
- no-one has to mangle the game through hacky stereo drivers that break all the effects
- no 'anomalies' whatsoever
- the player just concentrates on playing their game
- everyone wins!
The thought of trying to make a game compatible with stereo drivers gives me nightmares - there are so many good effects that just won't work... It's like playing Bohemian Rhapsody on bagpipes!
The message we should be giving to developers is:
People have 3D monitors now. It's time to make stereoscopic games. Don't let those stereo drivers mangle your work.

I was thinking more of this:
First one:
I'm king in every shooter: Cod4, Crysis, FEAR, Counter Strike and Bioshok! But I could also kick your ass in Flatout, Dirt and Trackmania!!!
Second one:
Have you asked at MTBS3d.com, if they are certif-eyed? I bet they wouldn't even RUN with my 3D monitor!!!
Get a proper rig, before you callange me!
Edit: The scenery should show a small part of a LAN maybe...
We could argue about the right method of certification later, but afaik the 'Platin Award' goes only to perfectly rendered games --> native S-3D mostly.
There could be also other awards for best S-3D performance --> e.g. HL2, which is pretty well optimized and runs almost everywhere - even when it came out.
