Next gen 3d mouse kickstarter

Interesting device ! Could be useful in VR applications, allowing the user easy and intuitive control
of the mouse, kind of neat!

Looks interesting, but how is this 3D? Seems to me it just emulates the mouse.

Well my main thought was that one could use it to control the mouse
for navigating menus and in windows when they're wearing their HMD.
It's really annoying navigating menus and such with a wiimote gun controller
and ps navigator for example.
Not to mention this will alleviate having to fumble around looking for the mouse
with your hands when your vision of the physical world is completely impaired.
Unfortunately just found out it's not out until September and kickstarter is $75.
But has potential. Oh and the 3d is just in the name of the product I guess.

Never noticed that myself, are you using a sensor bar or motionplus?

As far as this mouse goes, don't see the point unless it's 6dof (don't think it is). You can all ready get very cheap mouse/keyboard devices that let you type & mouse move at the same time. I do like the energy efficient bluetooth 4.0 though.

I have one of these, it's good but needs better battery life.



I plan to get leap motion for device free and finger motion.

Direlight: I have the exact same model, it was ridiculously cheap and works fairly OK, but it constantly drifts.
