yes, as long as you can choose a horizontally interlaced output with the nvidia driver version you're using and set the game res to match the monitor res. I think it should work fine.
Post more if you try it and have some problem with it.
If you're driver doesn't have a horizontal output option but does have a vertically interlaced option (162.50), then run the nvidia 3d logo test with that output and edit these registry settings to change vertical to horizontal:
in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D]
set both "InterleavePattern0" and "InterleavePattern1" to "00ff00ff".
If that gives you backwards 3d, then use "ff00ff00" instead of "00ff00ff" for both settings and please report that back here so I will have good advice for others.
Good luck,

PS: hmmm, tested a little more. This driver likes to reset 2 things sometimes when I open the nvidia display properties window. It resets both the output to DDC and the InterleavePatterns to 55555555. So the awkward solution is to not open that panel. Run the 3d test with vertical interlacing, exit that and the display properties window, and edit the registry. Then don't open that again and just run your game. Or better yet, follow the appropriate instructions from this topic:
