So what's up with this API. To me it seems to be the only way to get a "low level" interface to the 3D vision devices. Or let me put it another way : It's the only way at all to render separate images for the left and right eye. I've written a mail to the nvidia stereo support 2 days ago, but as I browsed throught the nvidia dev forums and the internet, I found a lot of people asking questions about this API without getting any answer from nvidia at all. I'm wondering if that will be the case for me too. I need that kind of API to develop a serious stereoscopic application, I don't want to mess around with the crappy homogenous coordinate hack, and even if I would, this solution wouldn't be sufficient for volumetric effect approaches. Also, I found the nv-zalman driver implementation was rather nonsatisfying, I don't want to use such a blackbox solution.
Is this API even up to date, or did they refresh those developer tools? I really couldn't find any information about that kind of thing. It's kind of a petty, that after they hyped up their 3D vision package that much, it is still that intricate as a developer to code an appropriate 3D vision solution.
If there is no way to render your own images for the shutterglasses anymore, I will resignate on this option, as I'm, no offense, not in the need to let patronize myself.
edit 11.02.09 : still no answer, seems like I was right with my concerns *sigh*
