Hollywood may have embraced the 3D revolution, but film fans seem less enamoured.
Ticket sales for the format in the UK have slumped by a third in two years, figures reveal.
According to veteran film critic Barry Norman the technology is ‘overblown’ and adds nothing to the cinema-going experience, despite leading chains charging audiences up to 30 per cent more to watch new releases in 3D.
