In one of the classic Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes, "The Big Goodbye," Captain Picard dons a fedora as 1940s sleuth Dixon Hill. Picard found a brief escape from life on the Enterprise by way of the Holodeck, a fully immersive virtual-reality room that allowed crew members to live out any fantasy they could dream up during recreation hours.
We know we're a long way from developing Star Trek's transporter or warp drive, but what about hyperimmersive holographic rec rooms? High-resolution, 360-degree screens are becoming a reality, though they may feel more Fahrenheit 451 than Star Trek.

Why Don't We Have Holodecks?

It almost seems like in Hollywood they do have holodecks within their networks. Transportation is real, I read and seen. Molding a complete story into the holodeck in star trek - they needed Data to fluidly resolve all the perameters of the ideas each member had for their time off from working in outerspace. 6 months to travel at warp speed to gather a probe sent in subspace And theres no tv shows to watch, lol.
Can't you replicate matter with a hologram and attach hydrogen and oxygen, like a bottle of water. Since the hologram would be the matter structure and the rest of the particles would just attach to them automatically in the right pressure atmosphere. I think a lot of people need a portable holodeck In the future, what an "inventors belt" that would be. No need to worry about loosing things or getting things stolen. If it was out now most of the Inventors in the patent field would have some money for licensing their ideas too since you could charge for making objects with those patents at home. I only see a positive way to it and not a bunch of hate wielding mongering. Maybe there will be a real Genie out of the bottle.
