OK. I have an ASUS Radeon HD 5770 GPU. I tend to install a driver set and then skip a release or two. So my last version was 12.1. When the 12.4 notification came out [released in April], I went to the AMD web site and grabbed 12.4. Downloaded it and installed. A week later, I was notified that 12.1 is what I had and 12.4 was out. Huh?
Ran the 12.4 installer again and everything was up to date.
Decided to uninstall what I had and then installed 12.4 again. Still shows 12.1. [Note: Verified ATI/AMD folders were empty prior to reinstalling].
Went into the install folder and the latest files are dated April 2012. Went into the Program Files folder and also had files dated in April 2012. Yet still shows 12.1.
I think I'm going to wait until 12.5 and try again.
