Reward if someone fix my Nvidia swap eyes issue!!

Post by Lefauconnier »

Hi all,

It's not a new topic but i wasn't able to see any new feedbacks on this issue for at least one year...so let's see if someone has a brand new solution ;)

- I have a Optoma hd700X (like the HD65) flashed for 3D
- HDMI 1.4
- Nvidia vision 2
- Windows 7 Utlimate
- 2 GTX 660 3G in SLI (both with 314.21 WHQL)
- I5 2500, 16G Ram
- Power suplly 750W

As this beamer is not recognize a officialy Nvidia 3D ready i had to put a .Inf for Nvidia to recognize the beamer. (Optoma.inf pasted at the end of this message) (I also tried several of them, including Acers ones)

Everything is almost fine in the wizard. It recognized the beamer, i have 720p / 120hz but when i test the medical image i have to put glasses upside-down to see the 3D effect.
Actually it's amazing but not comfortable when i play games that do not have the swapp-eyes option.

Please help me !!!!

PS1 : I tried with and without SLI enable, and the behaviour is the same)
PS2 : I really mean it when i'm talking about reward...tired of using glasses upside down. It would be through paypal. (40$?). Of course you'll have to trust but i think it worth the shoot...;)

Thanks in advance

If you look through the driver files, there seems to be one that lists all of the supported 3D Vision displays.
It looks like it contains description for things like shutter glass timing for each display.
Perhaps there is a descriptor for either right eye or left eye first listed.
So say if the EDID override you are using has right eye first, find another that has left eye first and then edit yours to left eye first.

Maybe? Maybe not? I've no idea, it was some time ago that I browsed thru their installed drivers and I vaguely remember this.
I'd look again, but I'm playing in the red camp atm.

There is an option when writing an EDID to select either right or left eye first.
So iI tried rewriting the Acer H5360 EDID I was using for an override, but Nvidias 3D Vision ignored it.
So it must be a display profile that needs altered.

I had the same problem with my 3D vision glasses and my supported projector, albeit at an unsupported resolution.

I just pried the glasses open and hard-wire soldered the LCD wires left to the right and vice versa.

It's a permanent hardware solution, but I have never had the need to change it back.

I guess it's very late to answer... but I remember that pressing ctrl+t (enable/disable 3d vision) in games multiple times(twice) swap the eyes (after disabling 3d first).

Yes tapping 3d or / off might Work.
You always get a geobox 3d demultiplexer from
Vnstw with it g602 you can swap eyes and even do sbs 2 active 3d conversion. Or do a dual projector setup. Its though limited to output active 720p@120hz but i think that Was you projector anyways.
And you can warp if you have a curved screen.
I have a geobox 501 im selling.
Find outabout it and pm if you interested
