Problem with filling the to field when sending a PM

When I go in my PM box and click compose message, the to field is set to none. I don't see any way to add who you want to send the PM to. The only way I found to do it is by going to the profile of someone and clicking the PM icon.

In the compose message screen, at the top left there is a section for "Usernames".
Type in the name, and click "Add To" at the bottom left of that screen section.

Got it. That's the first forum I visit that works like that.
