Hallo,

unfortunately nothing works here.

win7 64 / gtx580 sli / Asus VG278HR primary monitor - dk2 is extended desktop ...

dear ester -
it starts correct on dk2 - with clicking on start or option dear ester crashes immediately - there is a small black rectangle on the primary screen then. (on the left top of the screen)
dk2 shows extendet desktop

black mesa - same as dear ester

skyrim - crash - black square on the top left of the primary screen then ...
dk2 shows a bigger black square on the upper left ...

best regards FR3D

Are you using SLI or not?, judging by your configuration you might be. Have you tried turning that off to see what happens if you are using it?

That is odd behaviour.. not all that common really. Did you ensure that the games were set to 1920x1080 resolution before you start them with Vireio?

Also, if you attempt to switch to another application whilst a game is running with Vireio injected it causes it to crash, not sure what the cause is at the moment, but intend to add it to the list of things to investigate.

EDIT: They also crash if you change the resolution with Vireio injected

Hallo DrBeef,

yes sli is always activated.
I runs very well with steamvr (hl2) with all maxed out ....

i will deactivate sli and try it again.

( santa claus will present me a gtx980 ichill ) - so sli will not be needed anymore ...

thank you very very much

Hallo DrBeef,

I deactivated SLI and checked the resolutions of Ester, Black Mesa and Skyrim.

They are all @ 1920 x 1080 like the primary screen.

But unfortunately no difference - same behavior than before ...

whats about avira or other background programs ?

Hi. I've tried few of Vireio Perception versions with DK2, but all of them crash Arma 2 in main menu. It doesn't depend on video settings, screen resolution, primary/secondary screen setup. Is there any tip to make it work, at least not to crash in menu? Thanks!

Whilst Arma 2 is in the profiles.cfg, it is as yet untested and isn't officially supported, the list of officially supported games can be found here:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TYp ... sp=sharing

If I can pick up a copy of Arma 2 for a reasonable price somewhere then I'll try to take a look, but I don't own it at the moment.

I'd suggest you have as little running in the background as possible.. I must admit, I am not sure why it is crashing instantly for you, this isn't the case for most people, so it's rather hard to figure out what the issue might be. Maybe you could try running it with TraceSpy catching the debug logs in case that reveals anything?

Oh, I see.
Maybe Arma 2 demo will be enough for testing. http://www.arma2.com/demo/arma-2-demo
It is not steam version, but who knows, maybe it is similar in terms of rendering.

-----

Hmmm. Looks like even in steam there is demo version http://store.steampowered.com/app/33930/
"Download demo version" button is to the right, somewhere between game description and metacritic score.

Thanks for the efforts anyway

OK, when/if I get a chance (there is a lot of stuff to look at as you can imagine, and we Vireio developers are very few) I will take a look at the demo, if I can at least recreate the crash I might be able to get around that, and create a simple shader rule.
