Yup, it was never stated the alpha would have Rift support. Nonetheless I want to try it out because I am hesitant to pledge.

Regarding Oculus Rift support, we’re working hard to publish this as well! First we’ll publish a stereoscopic video, so that you can experience the sense of scale and depth as fast as possible. We also want to publish the same public alpha we published today, with the test-implementation of Oculus Rift, but this will take us some more time.

Okay, so there is no rift support for the Alpha? I've downloaded, but can't find a RIFT option. The only reason I'm interested in this game is for the RIFT.

If its supported in the alpha you will find it in the menu.

Namielus you really come around. A friend told me it does not have Rift support, I stopped downloading at 300mb ... and it was SLOW.

Thanks Namielus! I am pretty sure according to their update message and no option in the menu, that Rift support is coming soon... b1be awesome! Also make sure you tell them all of us at MTBS say congrats on the success of their kickstarter.

In the mail i got and i quote "For those interested in trying the alpha with their Oculus Rift dev-kits, we are first working to publish a stereoscopic video captured in-game, so you can get a feel of how things look with VR as fast as possible. We also want to get you a quick implementation for the entire alpha ASAP, but this will probably take us a few more weeks.

Why would anyone assume this alpha was rift enabled ?
